Salt & Ember Debuts New Lunch Menu Just Weeks After Opening in Downtown Mount Dora
May 21, 2026Just weeks after opening in historic downtown Mount Dora, Salt & Ember is keeping the momentum going with the debut of its new lunch menu.
The chef-driven steak and seafood restaurant opened last month at 322 N. Alexander Street, bringing a refined raw bar, prime steaks, seafood, caviar, handcrafted cocktails, indoor dining, and tropical patio seating to the heart of downtown. Now, Salt & Ember is building on its early excitement with a new midday dining experience available beginning at 11:30 AM.
The lunch menu brings the restaurant’s coastal steakhouse energy into the daytime, with new handhelds, seafood selections, salads, raw bar offerings, entrées, and sides designed for everything from a polished business lunch to a relaxed afternoon downtown.
Among the new handheld selections are the N.E. Lobster Roll, Crab B.L.T., Steak Sandwich, and Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich.
The N.E. Lobster Roll features lobster on a soft bun with béarnaise aioli and lemon chips, offering a classic coastal lunch option with Salt & Ember’s signature touch. The Crab B.L.T. brings together lump crab salad, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, sourdough toast, and chips for a seafood-forward take on a familiar favorite.
For guests looking for something heartier, the Steak Sandwich is served with chopped beef, smoked gouda, horseradish cream, arugula, and chips. The Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich rounds out the handheld lineup with avocado purée, escarole, tomato, and a sesame bun.
Beyond the handhelds, the lunch menu includes a wide range of midday options, from raw bar selections and starters to salads, entrées, and sides. Guests can explore chilled oysters, shrimp cocktail, tuna tataki, caviar croquettes, Southern deviled eggs, charred octopus and chorizo, lobster carbonara, miso glazed Faroe Island salmon, steak frites, an S&E Wagyu burger, crispy skin chicken, Caesar salad, green goddess salad, fresh burrata, charred cauliflower, and more.
The debut adds another strong lunch option to Mount Dora’s growing dining scene, especially for visitors exploring downtown, locals planning a weekday meal, or professionals looking for a polished setting for a midday meeting.
Salt & Ember is open seven days a week and also offers weekend brunch, daily happy hour, dinner, bar service, and reservations through its website. Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM, and happy hour runs daily from 4 PM to 6 PM.
