Local Therapist Publishes Workbook to Help Women Heal from Purity Culture and Reclaim Their Sexual Wellbeing
March 31, 2026Mount Dora, FL — Leslie Worth, a therapist specializing in the intersection of mental, physical, and sexual health, has released a new workbook designed to support women navigating the lasting impact of purity culture.
Get Out of Your Head & Into Your Sex Life: Healing from Purity Culture through ACT is an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)–based workbook that helps readers untangle shame-based messages about their bodies, desire, and worth. Through guided exercises and reflections, the book offers a structured, compassionate approach to rebuilding a more embodied and values-aligned relationship with sexuality.
“Many women were taught to disconnect from their bodies and suppress their sexuality,” says Worth. “This workbook is about helping them reconnect—with themselves, their values, and their capacity for safe, fulfilling intimacy.”
Designed for both individual use and as a supplemental resource in therapy, the workbook may be especially helpful for those experiencing sexual anxiety, low desire, or difficulty feeling present and connected during intimacy.
Worth brings a unique perspective to this work through her background in therapy and her focus on the mind-body connection in sexual health. She is affiliated with Worthwhile Therapy, where she works with individuals and couples on concerns related to intimacy, relationships, and overall wellbeing.
