    About Us

Camp Boggy Creek is a nonprofit, year-round medical camp in Eustis, Florida, providing free, life-changing camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. Founded in 1996 by Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Camp Boggy Creek gives children the chance to experience the joy, friendship, independence and adventure of camp in a safe, medically supported environment.

Located on a 232-acre campus, Camp Boggy Creek welcomes children and families facing serious medical conditions including cancer, heart conditions, epilepsy, sickle cell disease, asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, transplants, spina bifida, hemophilia, immune deficiencies and other diagnoses. Camp programs include summer camp sessions, family retreats and year-round experiences designed to help campers build confidence, connection and belonging.

Every camper and family attends at no cost thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, healthcare partners, corporate supporters and community friends. The camp features accessible cabins, a medical center, dining hall, swim center, arts and crafts, theater, boating, fishing, horseback riding, archery, music, nature activities and more.

Camp Boggy Creek is a place where kids can be kids, families can connect with others who understand their journey, and the Central Florida community can support a mission built on safety, respect, love and joy.
