TRUST OPERATIONS ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST (Mount Dora, Fl)
Posted: 08/24/2025We have an opportunity available in our Trust Operations Department for a full time Trust Operations Accounting Specialist. The incumbent will be responsible for back-office operational and investment tasks, which include the administration of Client Point, account reconciliation, record retention and storage, imaging, check processing and distribution, along with account research and assisting other Operations staff with various duties. This role requires a high level of tact, diplomacy and communication skills, as well as a considerable amount of judgement and knowledge of trust and banking policies, procedures, and regulations within the bank and the industry.
The hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and all applicants must have the following qualifications;
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Review transactions for proper coding of IRA’s deposits and withdrawals, ensures proper tax withholdings, remits estimated tax payments, processes monthly fees and investigates any variances in fee collections
- Review Fee Set-up, calculation and collection of client fees. Calculation of Employee Referral Fees.
- End of day balancing – having entry level experience in booking and reconciliation would be beneficial
- Verify and post asset receipt and delivery forms
- Effective planning for organizing daily workflows and managing the computer network files
- Comply with all Information Security and Cybersecurity related policy & procedures
- Proficient computer skills and proficient in PC software applications and Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
- Fast learner who works smart while exercising sound judgement and works independently
- Detail oriented and extremely accurate when completing tasks
- Must be thorough with research and follow up
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Must be personable, professional and courteous when working with all levels of internal customers
- Must display a high level of confidentiality, honesty, integrity at all times

This position is not subject to working remote and salary is dependent on experience.
Education and Experience Requirements:- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of operations and/or securities processing experience desired
