Launches Holiday Celebrations
Mt. Dora, FL, 26 October 2023 – First Presbyterian “The InSpiring Church of Mount Dora” presents a slate of holiday events and activities for the entire family:
October 28th: Craft Fair Open House, 8:00 – 3:00, Biery Hall
First Presbyterian Church once again opens its doors for Craft Fair visitors to rest and relax in the cool comfort of Biery Hall.
October 29th: Rhapsody in Blue, 4 pm, Biery Hall
First Presbyterian’s Music Director Dr. Randy Frieling and pianist Herb Buffington present an afternoon concert featuring George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. There is no charge to attend the concert.
November 12th: Young Voices, 9 am, Biery Hall
The church’s preschoolers join Café Worship to share their precious vocal talents.
November 29th: Service of Hope and Healing, 5:30 pm, Biery Hall
A winter service of soup, bread and hopeful meditation for those who
struggle with the holiday season due to personal loss.
December 3rd: Alternative Christmas Market, 11 am – 2 pm, Biery Hall
The ACM provides an alternative to the excesses holiday shopping. You can make a gift to a charity in honor of someone in lieu of giving them a gift they don’t really need. View displays and interact with and support representatives of the various mission organizations sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Mount Dora.
December 10th: Christmas Concert, 4 pm, Biery Hall
Celebrate the Christmas Season with performances by First Presbyterian’s Chancel Choir and Jubilate Handbell Choir.
December 24th: Christmas Eve Services, 4 pm & 7 pm
Christmas Eve is a special time. You are invited to our 4 pm Café Christmas Eve Service with Carols and Cookies. At 7 pm, the sanctuary will be alive with music featuring the Chancel Choir and Orlando Brass. The Candlelight service concludes with the congregation singing Silent Night and everyone is invited into the courtyard for Christmas refreshments.
