• BESH Assists with Reclaimed Water Extension

Groundbreaking began today on the Reclaimed Water Extension between the Cities of Apopka and Mount Dora. Currently, the City of Apopka routinely has an excess of reclaimed water while the City of Mount Dora  routinely experiences shortages. This extension will allow the transfer of reclaimed water between the two cities to effectively balance out the supply between both cities. After reviewing options, the City chose this cost-effective solution over constructing a reservoir.

BESH handled all design, permitting, bidding and construction administration for the installation of the new reclaimed watermain along round Lake and Kelly Park Roads in Orange County.

The 16” reclaimed waterline is approximately 16,250 LF total length.  A Booster Pump station with standby generator was added to overcome system pressure inadequacies at the point of connection and is connected to the City’s SCADA system for remote monitoring and operations.

BESH also assisted the City in obtaining a  State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan to help fund the project.
