Feel free to call me or email me the address below. An RSVP for attending November 1st will be greatly appreciated.
Mount Dorans gathered on the 1st of November in 1886 to welcome the arrival of the first-ever train into their city. The town's grand celebration reportedly included a Bar-B-Que to celebrate the rail service from Sanford on Lake Monroe. One month later, on December 1, 1886, service was completed into Tavares.
In honor of the 135th Anniversary of the first train to Mount Dora, this November 1st, fans of Mount Dora history are invited to attend my book launch, the release of my newest member of a family of central Florida history books; Mount Dora: The Lure The Founding. The Founders.
