DESCRIPTION:Why a Senior "Citizen" Prom?\n\nWe decided to host a Senior Citizen Prom to celebrate and uplift the wonderful seniors in our community. Our goal is to show appreciation to our Seniors who are sometimes overlooked and remind them that they are valued and cared for. The Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC)* is committed to giving back in a meaningful way by organizing an event that provides seniors with a fun and memorable experience\, one they might not otherwise have access to. The Senior Prom offers a special evening of celebration and recognition for our senior citizens\, all at no cost to them.\n\n \n\n*The Mount Dora Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC) is a youth lead organization that was established in 2021 under the guidance of the Mount Dora Community Trust. They fulfill this mission by engaging in a variety of community focused activities\, such as organizing service projects\, hosting fundraising events\, visiting local nonprofits each month\, and providing grants to support organizations in need.
