DESCRIPTION:The Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce presents the 29th Annual Christmas Walk\, Friday\, December 2\, from 6:00 pm   9:00 pm in historic downtown Mount Dora. Featuring traditional Christmas light displays\, a 40' musical Christmas Tree presented by Main Street Leasing\, and holiday entertainment\, making the Christmas Walk an ongoing tradition of family and friends coming together and celebrating the Christmas holidays!\n\n \n\nThis year's event is expected to be the best yet\, as visitors will experience an enchanted evening as Mount Dora returns to the tradition of the holidays! Numerous streets are closed within the historic district allowing for easy access to shopping and restaurants while transforming the downtown into a magical Christmas wonderland with carolers\, mime\, stilt walking and juggling shows\, live musical performances by world renowned pianist\, Randy Frieling\, Salvation Army Brass Band\, the City of Mount Dora Bag Pipe Band\, and many more! The list goes on. The downtown merchants invite you to stroll around Mount Dora\, enjoying Christmas treats\, beverages\, and specials as you do your holiday shopping. Of course\, pictures will be offered with Santa in Sunset Park near the Christmas Tree.\n\n \n\nMount Dora's Christmas Walk features millions of twinkling lights in Donnelly Park\, individual businesses in the downtown district\, and is supercharged by the Mount Dora Boating Center\, a two-acre complex located on St. Charles Street\, home to the largest private display of Christmas lights and decorations in Central Florida which may be enjoyed by walking\, car or boat. When strolling the marina\, don't forget to take a walk into Simpson Cove to see life-size Holiday Greeting Cards!\n\n \n\nThere will be plenty of children's activities including the Lil Bit of Life Petting Zoo with farm animals\, dressed in Christmas attire for the kids to pet and take pictures with\, holiday goodie vendors\, and other holiday surprises to complete this magical wonderland holiday experience.
