Renninger's Antique Extravaganza Dates: (Third weekend of January, February and November) An antique lover's dream! Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration Dates: July 4, 2009 Join us for an old fashioned celebration of our Independence Day with a parade at 10am, DJ & live music in Gilbert park starting at 5PM, and fireworks at dusk! 35th Annual Bicycle Festival Dates: October 9-11, 2009 Attracting 1000 cyclists, this is Florida's oldest and largest bicycling event! With rides of varying lengths skill levels, cyclists of all ages come and see why Lake County is recognized as one of the best places in the world to ride (Bicycling Magazine, March 1998). 14th Annual Mount Dora Plant & Garden Fair Dates: November 7 & 8, 2009 (First weekend in November) Admission is free. Central Florida's top growers bring more than 12,000 plants. The event features orchid growers and includes native plants, butterfly-attracting perennials, herbs, roses, camellias, begonias with a complete selection of rare and unusual tropical plants. Garden antiques, festive flags and unusual containers are also a focus.

6th Annual Mount Dora Garden Tour Dates: November 7-8, 2009 The Lakes and Hills Garden Club will be offering tours of four beautiful local gardens. Garden club members will be on hand to describe the gardens and answer questions. Complimentary tickets can be obtained by Lakes & Hills Garden Club members or at the First Presbyterian Church of Mount Dora the day of the event. Tickets are limited.
