2 Belk Charity Day Sale
Time: 6-10am
Location: All Belk Department Stores
Description: The spring Belk Charity Day Sale will be on May 2, from 6 - 10 am in every Belk store. Customers will receive 20 - 70% off Belk purchases storewide, including special savings on rarely-discounted brands. Mount Dora Sister Cities Association will sell $5 tickets to this event. The charity gets to keep the $5 of every ticket they sell and the customer can redeem the ticket for $5 off their purchase. If you can't attend the sale on May 2, you can also go to the Belk store starting April 24, pick out the items you want to purchase, take them to check-out and present your ticket. The Belk associate will handle the transaction for you. You can then pick up your items anytime on May 2 or after.

Description: This exceptional free event meanders through downtown Mount Dora offering a festive evening of art, music and hors d oeuvres designed to showcase regional art at several walkable venues throughout downtown Mount Dora.The event runs from 6pm to 8pm. Maps can be picked up at any location along the stroll. The main locations feature art from independent artists and their guest artists. In the summer of 2013, the Art Stroll partnered with the 2nd Friday Gallery Walk in order to expand on this already exciting event. Now the 2nd Friday of every month in Mount Dora means ART! 9 Mount Dora HAS TALENT Auditions

Description: The City of Mount Dora will have auditions for "Mount Dora Has Talent" competition from 10 a.m. to noon May 9 at the Mount Dora Community Building, 520 N. Baker St.. The contest is open to Mount Dora residents. There will be two age divisions: junior, ages 8 to 17 and adult, 18 and older. Contestants may perform music, dance or any types of a performing art. Three finalists will be chosen from each division. The finals will be held at 6 p.m. July 3 at the Freedom on the Waterfront event in Elizabeth Evans Park.
