34th Annual

Mount Dora Bicycle Festival

The 34th Annual Mount Dora Bicycle Festival will be held October 10, 11, & 12. This year’s event will have two days of supported rides and Friday will be a “day on your own” to ride, enjoy the other activities of the area or check out the vendor area which will be set up on Friday. The Mount Dora Bicycle Festival takes full advantage of the road and scenery of Lake County, which is recognized as one of the finest locations in the state and the country to ride.  It’s no coincidence that collegiate and pro level cyclists and triathletes choose to train here.

one of the finest locations in the state and country to ride...The participants will be able at their expense to eat all meals in the restaurants of their choice. A limited continental breakfast will be served Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Chamber from 7 AM until 9 AM.

The fun doesn’t end once your ride is complete.  Mount Dora is a tourist destination in its own right with unique antique and gift shops, gourmet restaurants, historic inns and bed & breakfasts.  For more information, check out our website at www.mountdora.com.

This year’s event will feature 8 supported rides from 25 – 100 miles in length, with options for all skill levels. Here are just a few of the rides that will be featured at this year’s event based on information as of June 6th, 2008 and subject to change. We have added two family rides for Saturday, a lunch picnic ride to Trimble Park and a Dessert ride at 3:45 PM in the afternoon; both will have ride leaders.
